Dior Fall RTW

Dior's fall collection was filled with rich colors, lush textures, and a multitude of layers. Thick fur collars snuggled the necklines of tweed coats. Buckled knee-boots, velvet britches, and a sweeping cashmere cloak gave off a sultry but decadent look. The collection alluded sophistication; but still touched on whimsicality and mischievousness. The colors went from dark to light, and by the end of the show, nothing but pastel lace, chiffon, and tulle remained.
Elie Saab Fall Couture

Fragile and feminine- that's what Saab's collection exhibited. It was presented in what some would call an ombre formation. The gowns started in aquamarine, then white, blush, mauve, bronze, then navy, and back to white at the end. Most of the looks were embellished with sparkling sequins, while others embroidered with floral appliques. Exquisite must be the word!? Saabs collection revealed a lady-like look ready for the red carpet.
Lanvin Fall RTW
A seemingly simple collection for Fall, but not so. Despite the solid colors, it was all about the texture. Intricate lace detailed dresses and suits, amongst wide ruffled collars and puffy skirts. The simplest nip and tuck of fabrics here and there added to the subtle but effortlessly sexy look. Elbaz played with shape and color with this collection; making it and fall all the more desirable.
D&G Fall RTW

The runway was decorated with ABC's and the color palette was rainbow! As kid-ish as it may look, sexy silhouettes and high-heel sneakers are not your normal playground attire. The designers collection was just plain fun. Puffy parkas in colors like acid pink and orange alongside ankle socks and tee-shirts messaging "Talking about you" couldn't be more amusing. But of course, you add pencil skirts and sheer dresses to the mix and it turns Playful Chic meets School Girl Couture.
J.Crew Fall RTW

J.Crew's fall collection took for a more sophisticated spin from the previous. Wool trousers, silk trench coats, and cheetah print pumps is where it's at. The Lyon's team still keeps it playful with magenta ankle pants, messy hair, and nerdy spectacles though. Once again they make the preppy, look effortless.
Ta-taa for now,
