Here are a few (of the many) sketches from my sketchbook from the Parsons Summer Intensive. These were done with Prisma Color Markers on an 11 by 14 Sketchbook.
My inspiration for this collection came from flowers, feminine women, and the french city. I wanted the clothes to drape the girls body delicately and softly. Chiffon floral appliqués are placed haphazardly around the garments giving the look a romantic and carefree feel.
Winter Assignment
This collection was based off the harsh and cold winters. It's edgy but soft, dark but light. The collection is a mixture of faux furs, decadent knits, warm wools, and sharp studs. It's perfect for the chic city girl.
Fragonard Perfume Factory Project
This collection was based off the Fragonard Perfume Museé in Paris. I was inspired by the old perfume labels and french architecture in the museum. I went with a pastel color pallete in lavender, peach, and mint green. It's a very feminine collection eluding romance and love.
Here's a look at the showroom on our final day and a look at all my drawings in my sketchbook

Wow. These are amazing. You are really quite talented!
ReplyDeleteYour sketches are absolutely amazing! They remind me of something that you would see at Bendels! I've been following your blog for a little over a year now and continue to be amazed at your outfits and style choices. I think that you will be both an amazing designer and an amazing stylist and know that whatever career path (within fashion of course) that you choose, you will excel at! I wish you a happy new year and hope that it is filled with many more great experiences in the fashion world.

ReplyDeleteHow did you learn how to draw like this? Did you take any formal classes or this just natural ability?
ReplyDeleteA little bit of both!!! I've always been able to draw, but I took a class at Parsons Paris and was taught by an amazing illustrator, Kichi Ogawa. After that, my ability approved even more! :D
