Chiffon

This is one of the first dresses I have ever designed. I sketched the dress when I was twelve, but didn't actually start sewing it until I was fifteen in Fashion Class. The concept is interlaced chiffon strips starting at the bodice, and flow from the waist down. I remember being very frustrated when having to cut one hundred- four inch strips. I made it all the way to the last point of adding in a zipper, then ended up hiding the dress away in my closet not pulling it out until now (at seventeen). I completed the final details and I fell back in love with it, deciding to do a blog post.

I went to the Dallas Museum of Art to shoot in their garden. It looks just like the Tuileries in Paris! I've done a blog post here before but I wore a more casual outfit. Today, security chased me out because apparently "a gown" is considered professional, and they wouldn't believe it was just for my blog. So, I have just a few pictures, but better a few than nothing!

Ta-taa for now,
Arianna
